Qualifications For Elected Office
|
U.S. Congressional District 1
- U.S. Constitution Article 1, Section 2 U.S. Citizen for at least 7 years 25 years old at the time the oath of office is taken,
- An inhabitant of Utah Congressional District 1 when elected.
State Senate & House of Representatives
- Utah Constitution Article VI, Section 5, 6 Utah Code 20A-9-201 U.S. Citizen at the time of filing, 25 years of age or older at the filing deadline time, 3 year resident of Utah at the filing deadline time 6 month resident of the senate or representative district from which elected at the filing deadline time.
- Qualified voter from the senate or representative district from which elected
State School Board
- Utah Code 20A-14-104 A registered voter in the board district from which the member will be elected.
- Apply for candidacy with and be nominated by a seven-member board. Chosen by the Governor from the board’s nominations to be placed on the ballot.
Local School Boards
- Utah Code 53A-3-101; 20A-9-201; 20A-14-203 U.S. Citizen at the time of filing, Reside in the school representative district elected from
- Qualified and registered elector of the school district from which elected.
County Commission
